Being the third seed or second seed doesn't make that much of a difference. I would think that Anchorage and BYU-Hawaii would be pretty similar. Then, if HSU gets out of the first round (be it 2nd or 3rd seed), it would have to play DH again (whether HSU was a 2 or a 3).

Kinder, or whoever is doing the non-conference scheduling has to realize what a joke their exhibition game and non-conference games were. Central Washington played a lot of very good D-II teams for their non-conference games, and had the foresight to lose to a team out of its region. HSU should try to play a schedule like that.

Trepiak sent out some stuff related to the regional seeding. Head to head record has a big impact, which is probably what pushed DH over Humboldt (DH also played a tough non-conference schedule, which helped).

Hopefully HSU will learn from the DH loss and prove things on the court at CW.

I disagree with that statement. The Seawolves have a bonafide big guy (Rohde) and some other solid frontcourt guys. BYUH is pretty much a one man show, if they can get 40 points out of Jet Chang they MAY have a chance at beating DH. Their three leading scorers are 6'5", 6'4" and 6'3". You have to get to their 4th and 5th leading scorers before you get to 6'6". The Toros have 4 regulars who are 6'6" or bigger. Earlier this year in Carson they the Toros destroyed the Seasiders 81-54. That was before Amil showed up, and the BYUH coach was heard saying (back in Nov.) that Dom Hills was the best DII team he has EVER seen. Both HSU and DH would/will have no problem with the Seasiders. That's my prediction.

While the Seawolves have the 6'9" Rohde getting 16 pnts/game, 6'6" Casey Robinson (if he can play) at almost 10 per game. They also have a hot backcourt in Mario Gil and Brandon Walker.

Versus HSU, the big guys will get their points. Morris and Rodhe will keep pace with each other. The game will be decided by the shooters. If Spada and Sperling can get on track, we have the upper hand. If Gil goes off, we are in trouble.
